The upcoming 50th Session of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child will take place from January, 12 to January, 30 2009 at the Palais Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland. On this meeting, the Committee will examine reports from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, the Republic of Moldova, the Netherlands and the Republic of Tchad on their implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Committee will also review the reports from the Maldives and the Netherlands on the implementation of the Optional Protocol on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (OPSC), and reports from the Maldives, the Republic of Moldova, and Tunisia on the Optional Protocol on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict (OPAC).
