The International Save the Children Alliance is organizing a Day entitled "Violence: Save the Children Alliance Day of Action against Violence" the 19 October 2008. Dates: 19 October 2008 Location: Global For further information, please see the Website of the International Save the Children Alliance The International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO) is organising a conference entitled "Juvenile justice systems in Europe: current situation, trends in applicable models and good practices" that will take place in Valencia, Spain. This conference is the third event organized as part of the AGIS programme on juvenile justice systems in Europe. The Department of Criminology at Greifswald (Germany) as well as the Instituto Don Calabria (Italy) are also involved in this programme. The first conference took place from 21-24 June 2007 in Greifswald, Germandy and the second conference from 13-16 March 2008 in Verona, Italy. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) are organising a training workshop entitled "Nepal Training workshop on indicators. Establishing juvenile justice information systems, using the juvenile justice indicators measurement manual". This training workshop will take place in Katmandu, Nepal, from November 4 to 7, 2008. Dates: 4-7 November 2008 Location: Katmandu, Nepal For further information, please consult the Website of The UNODC and the UNICEF This training session for juvenile justice actors is the fourth in a series of four sessions organised by UNICEF Benin on the implementation of alternatives to deprivation of liberty for children in conflict with the law. The training sessions targets 140 juvenile justice actors (judges specialised in children, law enforcement personnel, local authorities, social workers, civil society and the media). The first session took place from 10-13 May, the second from 29-31 June and the third from 16-19 September 2008. Dates: 11-14 November 2008 Locations: Grand Popo, Natitigou and Porto Novo, Benin.
