This document entitled “Juvenile Justice System – Working Manual for Stake Holders” was published by the Legal Association Forum (LAF) in collaboration with UNICEF. LAF is an Indian association of professionals (mostly lawyers and academicians) that intends to promote a legal system that is more adapted to and that takes better care of the lowest classes of the Indian society. This manual mostly addresses police and probation officers, the Juvenile Justice Board, staff of the Observation Homes and Special Homes, advocates but also children in conflict with the law. It provides them with legislative tools presented in a simplified way in order to help them understand the mechanisms of the juvenile justice system. Available in English PDF (167 pages).
