The report “From Time Out to Hard Time: Young Children in the Adult Criminal Justice System” written by Michele Deitch et al. and published by the University of Texas at Austin, LBJ School of Public Affairs, in July 2009, provides a comprehensive look at how the United States of America treats children (particularly children under 12 years old) who commit serious crimes.
