Scott Bernard Peterson - Made in America: The Global Youth Justice Movement (2009) - 19 August 2009
Other

This article documents the expansion of “teen courts, youth courts, peer courts, student courts, and youth peer panels” in the United States of America (USA) and how such programmes are developing in other countries. Youth courts use peers to help determine the appropriate sentence for other children who have committed a crime or offense. Such courts are part of diversion mechanisms, providing alternatives to the formal juvenile justice system. “Made in America: The Global Youth Justice Movement” is an article written by Scott Bernard Peterson in “Reclaiming children and youth”, volume 18, issue 2. Available in English. PDF, 5 pages.
